I've defended Jermichael Finley. I've defended him for his drops and for his mouth. I've written it off to youthful exuberance. I saw the talent. I saw the upside.
I'm done.
On Twitter, Finley's agent said that Aaron Rodgers was not a good leader.
I gave Finley til noon to fire his agent.
He didn't.
I am left to believe that Jermichael Finley believes that Aaron Rodgers isn't a good leader.
Knowing Jermichael Finley, this is an opinion that he will share with his teammates. He will try to sway his teammates to his way of thinking.
Whether Aaron Rodgers is a good leader or not isn't the issue. (though his performance and the success of the team would indicate that he is.)
Fissures in the locker room need to be avoided at all costs. Quoting that noted team guy Terrell Owens tearful morn during his tenure in Dallas "That's my quarterback man."
Whether Finley would follow Rodgers into the bowels of hell or not, he has to at least act like he would. Rodgers will be here a lot longer than Finley. If Finley doesn't think Rodgers is a good leader, than he needs to be a better follower.
I liked it better when JMike would say idiotic things on his own, not hide behind some two-bit mouth piece.
Ted Thompson needs to get whatever he can for Finley and move on. The sooner the better.
The Packers offense will be just fine without Jermichael Finley, and he can drop important passes anywhere.
